Hearing Health
Your hearing is important for your overall health and well-being. At Your Hearing Connection, we help you manage your hearing loss with hearing aids, so you can feel – and hear – your best again. Your hearing is a crucial part of how you communicate with your family, friends, coworkers, and how you experience the world. Our audiologists will take the time to help you find a hearing aid that fits your unique needs and lifestyle. In addition to dispensing and fitting hearing aids, we also offer a variety of hearing services to help you.

Hearing Services
- Free Hearing Screening: A hearing screening is a quick test to see how well you hear different sounds. You will either pass or fail the hearing screening. We offer hearing screenings at no charge. If you would like a more comprehensive test of your hearing, we also offer diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnostic Audiologic Evaluations: We provide diagnostic audiologic evaluations, also known as hearing tests, in Arcadia and Bakersfield for anyone with hearing concerns. These services are diagnostic medical tests and are used to differentiate between hearing loss due to a medical condition and those due to noise exposure, genetics, or the normal aging process. All our testing is done in a sound treated booth and consists of pure tone sound testing, otoacoustic emissions testing, accuracy to speech understanding, and your ability to understand speech with competing noise.
- Industrial Hearing Screening: Loud noise exposure is one of the most common causes of hearing loss. We provide industrial hearing screenings that are in compliance with OSHA. Hearing damage is often the result of hazardous noise exposure for workers. If you work in a factory, in construction, or in a noisy environment, contact us for a hearing screening.
-
Tinnitus Management: Commonly known as “ringing in the ears,” tinnitus can range from mildly annoying to debilitating. Millions of Americans experience some degree of tinnitus in their life. Tinnitus is when you hear a ringing, buzzing, humming, whooshing, or whistling sound in your ears or head when no external sound is present. We offer hearing aids with a tinnitus masking feature that can help distract your brain from the bothersome symptoms of tinnitus.
While hearing aids won’t stop ringing in the ears completely, they can greatly help. Contact us today and discover how we can help you overcome tinnitus. -
Earwax Removal: Have you ever experienced clogged ears due to earwax? Earwax (cerumen) can build-up inside your ears, causing discomfort, pain, and even temporary hearing loss. It’s best not to attempt to remove earwax with a cotton swab, as this can actually cause more harm. Instead, you should have your ears examined by a professional.
At our hearing clinic, we can safely and effectively remove earwax in office. Contact us to learn more.

Hearing Aid Fittings and Evaluations
We work with many different major manufacturers to offer a wide range of hearing aids. After we’ve evaluated your hearing, we can recommend hearing aids that will be most helpful for your individual hearing loss and your needs.
Hearing Aid Adjustments and Repairs
If something isn’t working right with your hearing aids, bring them in and we’ll make any necessary adjustments. We can do some repairs in-office but, if necessary, we can send your hearing aids to the manufacturer for more complex repairs.
Custom Hearing Protection
At Your Hearing Connection, we can create custom earmolds for sound protection. We carry a variety of ear protection including earplugs, sleep plugs, swimmer’s plugs, built-in ear monitors, musician’s plugs, and noise protection for sportsmen and hunters. Noise-induced hearing loss affects millions of individuals of all ages. It’s important to protect your hearing in order to be proactive against hearing loss now and in the future. We can take a mold of your ears and create customized earplugs for ultimate hearing protection. Contact us today to learn more.
